Photoshoot 2012

Well, it's that time again. The Aran Crafts crew set off on another expedition to find a beautiful photoshoot location for their upcoming styles. Hours were spent thrawling through tourist books, trying to find the perfect location. The final location that was decided upon was Sandycove Beach in DĂșn Laoighre, Co. Dublin.

The beach is situated just south of the James Joyce Tower and Museum, which is a museum dedicated to the famous Irish novelist and poet, James Joyce. Joyce spent 6 nights in the Tower, and the opening scenes of his most famous piece of literature, Ulysses, are set here. Here are some of the snaps we took on the day!

Some shots of our new styles in the making. The white board used reflects light on to the model for a more even exposure on the model.

Snack on the beach for break time!
 No instant coffee here...!

Everyone taking a break during the shoot, a beautiful spell of sunshine came in the evening. We were blessed with perfect light for the shoot

Sandycove really is a beautiful part of the country. It was our first excursion to the area for a photoshoot, but it certainly won't be our last. I can recommend it to anyone travelling to Ireland as a 'must-do' for their holiday. I'm sure some of our natives don't even know its existance! It really is a gem of an area. The finished products will follow soon ! Hope everyone enjoys them.
